La Somone, a mixed site between a wild beach and a lagoon classified as a nature reserve, hosts intensive surfing courses for anyone who wants to progress quickly in a friendly and exotic setting. In small groups or with individual coaching, each participant benefits from a structured program: two technical sessions per day with a certified instructor, alternating between practice on the sand to work on posture, and sessions in the sea to master paddling, take-off, and positioning on the wave. The spot is renowned for its gentle, regular waves, which allow for relaxed learning while encouraging even the most experienced surfers to progress.
The trip takes place in a surf camp or villa with half board, a short walk from the beach and close to the lively market in La Somone. In addition to surf lessons, participants discover the local ecosystem during canoe trips in the lagoon: bird watching (pelicans, spoonbills, etc.), paddleboarding on calm waters, and excursions to Saly or Mbour. Rest periods are punctuated by nature workshops (wave reading, weather management, marine ecology) or yoga and stretching sessions to improve recovery. Video analysis, technical correction, and mini-group challenges punctuate each day.
The friendly atmosphere of the village and the warm welcome from the local community encourage conversation, gourmet breaks (fresh fruit, African dishes), and discovery of the heritage of the Petite Côte. The course allows for rapid progress, measured by a technical assessment and individualized feedback before departure.
