Description of this activity

Departing from Saly, Senegal’s most famous seaside resort, the motorboat ride is an ideal experience to enjoy the sea in a different way. As you cruise along the coast, you’ll discover golden beaches, fishing villages, and hotels lining the bay.
The captain adapts the navigation according to your preferences — a peaceful ride toward Ngaparou and La Somone, or a more dynamic outing toward the port of Mbour. The water is usually calm in the morning, offering excellent sailing conditions.

The departure point is located on Saly Beach. After a short safety briefing, the group boards for a two-hour ride. The boat follows the coastline either north or south, depending on the tide. Stops can be made for swimming, taking photos, or simply enjoying the view. A light snack is served on board before returning to Saly. This excursion also offers a glimpse of local marine life — fishing pirogues returning to shore, coastal birds, and with a bit of luck, some dolphins offshore.

After the trip, visitors can explore the beachfront restaurants of Saly, the craft market, or the Bandia Reserve, located about twenty minutes away by car.
