Description of this activity

The excursion offers a unique perspective on the city: the cliffs of the Western Corniche, the Mamelles Lighthouse, Soumbédioune Bay, and Gorée Island offshore.

The outing combines discovery and relaxation. The guide provides commentary on landmarks visible from the sea, while the captain adjusts the pace according to the weather and the group. Within minutes of leaving the Plateau port, you’ll cruise along the lively coastline, spotting fishermen, surfers, and sometimes dolphins that frequent the area.

Hop aboard a motorboat for an unforgettable ride around the Dakar Peninsula. Guests are welcomed at the Plateau port before boarding. After a safety briefing, the boat sets off for a two-hour cruise along the coast, with optional stops for photos or a light snack.

Depending on the conditions, the route may pass by the Mosque of the Divinity, the African Renaissance Monument, or circle Gorée Island before returning to the port.

On land, you can easily extend your day with nearby visits to the Museum of Black Civilizations, Place de l’Indépendance, Kermel Market, or the House of Slaves on Gorée Island, all within easy reach.
