From sun lounger to spa, a day for two

The day opens on the private beach: a reserved area with sun loungers placed side by side, soft towels, shade or sun as you prefer, and a direct view of the Atlantic. The morning has no programme: swimming, walking, reading. The morning light on the Dakar coast does the rest.

In late morning or early afternoon comes the couples’ spa, the high point of the day. It takes place in a private room, with a relaxing massage given to both of you at the same time, and body or facial treatments as you wish. The treatments can be adapted to sensitive or fragile skin, and the pressure is set to your comfort. Then comes lunch, served by the sea or in a quiet space: fresh fish, grills, Senegalese dishes, light or vegetarian options, desserts, and champagne.

Lunch, treatments and champagne are included in the option. Additional drinks, other than the champagne included, may be offered on site. Bring swimwear, sunglasses and sun cream, as well as comfortable clothes for after the treatments. It is advisable to arrive early to make the most of the day, and to book ahead at weekends and in high season.

If you are a couple living in Dakar, it is a birthday, a proposal or a Saturday for two without leaving the city. If you are travelling as a couple, it is the relaxation stop of a trip, between two days of sightseeing.

Dakar on the ocean side

The private beach is in Dakar. The rest of the day extends easily to the west corniche, for a walk at sunset, or to the Almadies, known for their restaurants and lounges in the evening.

Extending the day for two

To carry on as a couple, you can take a pirogue to Ngor Island, or treat yourselves to a second massage or body treatments on another day. A simpler private beach day also suits a less formal break.
