A personal trainer in Ngaparou means an outdoor session of 1 to 1.5 hours between Saly and Somone, at sunrise or sunset, on the beach, in a garden or near the craft port. One-to-one or in a small group, open to all levels, with equipment and coach included.
Tailor-made sessions, with no performance imposed
The trainer alternates strength work, mobility and breathing, and adds stretching to build flexibility and release tension. The training is adapted to your level and goals: getting back to activity, getting fit, toning, physical preparation for an event or wellbeing follow-up, with flexibility, relaxation and posture as possible focuses. Here there is no performance imposed: the idea is to rediscover the pleasure of movement in a calm setting.
Themed group sessions are offered regularly: cardio, abs and glutes, circuit training or stretching, by the sea or in green spaces. Sessions are often held in a small group, to keep a friendly atmosphere and personal attention.
A mat or a towel is usually enough; the trainer provides extra accessories depending on the day’s programme (resistance bands, dumbbells, medicine ball). Bring sportswear, a towel, a bottle of water and sun cream. Sessions take place in the morning or at the end of the day, depending on the weather and what suits you.
If you live on the Petite Côte, it is a morning or end-of-day appointment. If you are visiting, it is a way to stay active without a membership.
Ngaparou, a quiet village on the Petite Côte
Ngaparou lies south of Saly and Somone, on the Petite Côte. Away from the busy resorts, the village lives to the rhythm of the tides, the return of the colourful pirogues and the craftsmen’s markets. The sessions make the most of this setting: wild beach, private garden, the surroundings of the craft port, at sunrise or sunset.
After the session
You can combine training with yoga, a massage or body treatments. You can also relax on Ngaparou beach, enjoy a fresh juice or visit the nearby Somone lagoon. Further afield, the Popenguine reserve, the Bandia Reserve and Joal-Fadiouth are classic outings.
