The private surf lesson in Yène puts a private coach at your disposal for 1 h 30, on a little-visited beach among fishermen and migratory birds, about 40 km south of Dakar. Equipment and insurance are included, booking is recommended, and children are accepted from age 5.
A coach just for you, beside the lagoon
Yène is a village known for its blue-green lagoon and its quiet beaches. The private lesson here is designed to maximise the student’s comfort, progress and enjoyment. From the first minute, the coach analyses your build and goals: an introduction session or technique improvement. After a full briefing, the learning takes place on a little-visited beach, among the fishermen’s nets and migratory birds, or at the lagoon depending on the weather.
The exercises vary with the student: mastering the take-off, adjusting the equipment to changing conditions, precise corrections. The session ends with a debrief and recommendations for training alone. Equipment is provided, with insurance, and a private coach. A photo service and family options are offered, as well as specific support for families and athletes: technical report, managing stress in front of the sea. The coach can also speak English or Spanish, on request.
Children are accepted from age 5, with close supervision and dedicated equipment. The village offers complementary activities: a birdwatching outing, a walk to the lagoon, a small-scale fishing workshop, or a combined surf and local fishing session, by booking.
If you live in Dakar, it is the format for a morning between two working weeks, 40 km from home. If you are visiting, it is the most direct way to find out your level and see the lagoon.
