Living here should not cost the price of a holiday

You live in Dakar, Saly or Ziguinchor, and for months you have been putting off that pirogue trip in the Saloum, that surf lesson or that night in the Lompoul desert. Not for lack of wanting to: it is because these activities are often sold as tourist products, priced for people passing through. Que Faire Sénégal starts from the opposite premise. People who live in Senegal are our first audience, and the resident rate is our commitment to them.

Who the resident account is for

The resident account is for people who live in Senegal. Senegalese people discovering their own country in a new way, expats who want to get out of their neighbourhood, families looking for weekend ideas: what counts is that Senegal is where you live, not your nationality.

Just visiting? This account is not for you, but the site very much is. You book at the listed price, with the same clear rules: 20% to secure your booking, and the balance is paid on site, on the day. Every step is explained on the Booking process page.

What the resident account gives you

The resident rate: up to 30% off, depending on the activity. It is not a single rate applied across the board: not every professional has the same room for manoeuvre, and a boat trip is not costed like a workshop. The exact rate is shown on each listing, before you send your request. No surprises: you know what you are saving before you book.

One exception to bear in mind: official fees. National park entry, regulated crossings and local taxes are set by the authorities. We apply no discount and no margin to them, and they remain payable on site and not included in the price. Some sites themselves charge a different rate depending on whether or not you are a resident; the listing says so when that is the case.

How it works

1. Create your resident account before booking. Fill in the form below with your name, email address and phone number, then send it. It goes straight to the Que Faire Sénégal team, based in Senegal.

2. Choose your activity. More than 400 activities await you across seven regions, from water sports to wellbeing. The resident rate is shown on every listing.

3. Book like everyone else, but pay less. Sending a request is free. Once the date is confirmed, you pay 20% to secure your booking (the booking fee) by bank card, Wave or Orange Money. The balance is paid on site, on the day, directly to the team welcoming you.

Good ideas when you live here

The resident rate really comes into its own on outings you can do again, or ones you have always put off. Day trips from Dakar to Lac Rose (Pink Lake), the Somone or Popenguine. Saturday workshops. Treatments and private beach days during the week, when places are quieter. And the big outings you keep “for when we have time”: the Djoudj National Bird Sanctuary in bird season, or a proper weekend in the Saloum.
