Saly, Mbour, Joal, Touba: the destinations

Saly is the country’s first seaside resort, about 80 km south of Dakar, and Mbour is its neighbour; they are part of the Petite Côte, about a hundred kilometres of coastline, from Bargny to Joal-Fadiouth, with beaches, bird-rich lagoons, lively markets and fishing villages. Saly has more than 10,000 beds spread across club hotels, private residences and villas. Joal is the village of Joal-Fadiouth, the shell island and its mixed cemetery, at the southern end of the Petite Côte. Touba is the city of the Great Mosque of Touba.
