The AIBD airport transfer to Dakar links the airport and the capital in 40 minutes to 1 hour depending on traffic, in a vehicle suited to your group: saloon, SUV, van, minibus or luxury saloon. A driver waits for you at the exit on arrival, drops you as close as possible to the departure hall, and the service runs day and night.
Car journeys, from saloon to minibus
Many options exist, one-way or return. For a traveller on their own or a couple, the saloon takes up to 3 people. For a family, the SUV, the van or the shuttle will do. For a group, the minibus can take up to 15 people, on a return trip. The upper tier includes the luxury saloon and the premium van. Other options exist for a departure from Rufisque or the suburbs to AIBD, and a VIP welcome at the airport with a name board. The vehicles are air-conditioned and matched to the number of people booked, with space for luggage. Special luggage, such as a surfboard or bulky equipment, may need a prior request.
The journey takes 40 minutes to 1 hour depending on traffic. It can vary with the time: morning, end of the day and weekends are busier. The motorway toll is included or payable depending on the option chosen.
The transfer runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, subject to booking. If you live in Dakar and are leaving for a weekend or a business trip, it is a way not to depend on a taxi at departure time. If you are visiting and arrive late, it is the assurance of being met at the exit.
Pick-up and arrival points
Pick-up is from the place of your choice in Dakar: the Plateau, the Almadies, Yoff, Ngor, the corniche, the Mamelles, or any other area of the capital. The meeting point is set when the booking is confirmed. On arrival, the driver greets you at the airport exit, at a set meeting point. The Dakar page and the Dakar region bring together the addresses of the peninsula, and Rufisque is one of the possible departure areas.
Around your transfer
To continue your trip, other intercity transfers are available to the Petite Côte and beyond, and a car hire with driver lets you get around during the day. You can also follow on with Gorée Island, Ngor Island or Lake Retba (the Pink Lake).
