The 3-day stay at Bandia Reserve runs over three days and two nights around the safari, leaving from your accommodation in the Dakar area. Return transport, guide, accommodation and meals are included, and the level of accommodation adapts to your choice.
Three days around Bandia
The stay combines the Bandia safari, where you see giraffes, rhinos and antelopes, and a look at the Petite Côte. It is designed to leave from your accommodation, in the Dakar area: the provider, based in Dakar, picks you up on site. For a departure from another area, just say so when you book, and the provider confirms whether it is feasible.
Included: return transport from your accommodation, the guide, accommodation for two nights and meals. Only drinks are at your own expense. The level of accommodation is your choice: the price adjusts to the package you select, and the price shown corresponds to the basic package, calculated per person.
What you pay on site
The entrance to Bandia Reserve is payable on site, on top of the price: an adult rate, a child rate for ages 3 to 12, free entry under age 3, and a compulsory reserve guide, charged per vehicle. The amounts are shown in the dedicated section of the listing. Bring a hat, sun cream, water and comfortable shoes.
Bandia, a stay rather than a quick trip
Bandia is about 65 km from Dakar and about fifteen kilometres from Saly: it is the most visited and most accessible wildlife reserve in the country, open to the public since 1990. If you live in Dakar, you can come for the day, but three days change your relationship with the place: you sleep nearby, you are not chasing the clock, and the safari becomes a stage rather than the goal of a single morning. If you are visiting, it is a turnkey stay, with no vehicle to rent. The Bandia page brings together all the activities on offer there, and our Bandia Reserve page tells the story of the reserve.
Around the reserve
Between two safaris, the Petite Côte offers plenty to fill the days: a pirogue ride, a quad or buggy outing or a visit to the Somone lagoon.
