This stay in the Sine-Saloum and Fathala safari takes two days and one night, from Dakar: a mini-cruise in the bolongs, a pirogue and a water activity on the first day, then a safari in the Fathala Reserve on the second. Transport, guide, a night in a villa and breakfast are included.

Two days, a delta and a reserve

The first day is devoted to the delta: a mini-cruise in the bolongs, a pirogue ride and a water activity. The night is spent in a villa, with breakfast. The second day is devoted to the safari in the Fathala Reserve, before the return to Dakar. Return transport from Dakar and the guide are included, with departures between 8 a.m. and noon from Dakar (Liberte 6 Extension).

Two options are offered, priced per person: one for 1 to 5 people, the other for 6 people and more. The minimum age is 12, and assistance is provided for people with reduced mobility. Bring a hat, sun cream, mosquito repellent, closed shoes and a swimsuit.

Not included are: drinks and the entrances and activities of the Fathala Reserve. These fees are payable on site, on top of the price, with the amounts shown in the dedicated section of the page: safari, walking with lions (from a height of 1.50 m), the combined option, and a 9-seat 4×4 vehicle depending on the activity chosen.

If you live in Senegal, it is a short weekend that spares you from handling transport and the night on site yourself. If you are visiting, it is an introduction to two faces of the country: water and bush, in two days.

The delta and the reserve

Sine-Saloum is the UNESCO-listed delta, about 150 km south of Dakar: a region of bolongs (tidal creeks), mangroves and islands, explored by pirogue more than on foot.
