Karting in Ngaparou offers 8-minute sessions for juniors from age 7 and 10-minute sessions for adults from age 14, with kart, helmet and gear provided. You choose one session, two, three, or a pack of ten, priced per person.
Junior or adult, from 1 to 10 sessions
Eight options are offered, all priced per person. On the junior side (from age 7): one 8-minute session, two, three, or a pack of ten sessions. On the adult side (from age 14): one 10-minute session, two, three, or a pack of ten sessions. The kart, helmet and gear are provided. Bring closed shoes and comfortable clothes.
After a briefing on the driving and safety rules, participants put on their helmets and take their seats in their karts. The circuit alternates tight bends and straights, so you feel the speed safely: beginners learn to master the racing line, the more competitive look for the best lap time. Lap times are recorded on every lap, which lets you set up a ranking among friends, family or colleagues. Reduced-power karts exist for children. The circuit also has a relaxation area and a bar.
The difference between the options is simple: the more sessions you take, the more heats you can string together to improve your time. The ten-session pack is for those who come back several times.
If you live on the Petite Côte, it is an outing that is easy to plan with friends or for a birthday. If you are visiting, it is an hour-long activity that brings generations together, with a break on site.
Ngaparou, between Saly and Somone
Ngaparou is a coastal village on the Petite Côte, a short distance from Saly and Somone, far from the busy resorts. Life there goes by to the rhythm of the tides, the return of the colourful pirogues and the craft markets. The Thiès Region takes in the whole coastline.
Around the circuit
To extend your time, lunch in Somone, a visit to the Ngaparou craft port or some beach time make a good programme. The motorised leisure category offers other outings, quad and buggy offer a wilder version, and the Somone lagoon can be explored by pirogue.
