A pedicure in Saly is the upkeep you give yourself after feet in the sand: a 1-hour treatment with a scented warm bath, scrub, foot and calf massage and a polish of your choice. A one-hour manicure is also offered, and everything is provided.
A one-hour treatment
Two 1-hour options, priced per person: the pedicure and the manicure. The pedicure treatment begins with a scented warm bath, designed to soften the skin and relax the feet. It continues with careful cleansing and preparation, a scrub or exfoliation to smooth the skin, an anti-callus treatment if necessary, a relaxing massage of the feet and calves, then moisturising with a cream suited to a hot climate.
For the finish, you choose a natural, polished look, nail shaping or a nude, coloured or classic polish. Several shades are offered, from nude to bright colours.
What you need to know
Treatments, spa and towel are included. All tools are disinfected and suited to salon care. The treatments are suitable for sensitive or damaged feet, and the moisturising products are suited to hot climates and to feet exposed to sand. If your feet are very dry, an intensive moisturising treatment can be added.
If you opt for polish, wear open shoes, and wait about 30 to 45 minutes before putting closed shoes back on. Also avoid putting your feet in the sand right after a fresh finish. The session is individual or as a duo depending on slots. Arrive a few minutes early, and a refreshing drink may be offered at the end of the session.
If you live in Dakar and are spending a weekend in Saly, it is a treatment to slot between the beach and lunch; if you are visiting, it is a way to stay barefoot by the water with well-cared-for feet.
Saly and the Petite Côte
Saly, about 80 km south of Dakar, is the beach resort of the Petite Côte, with its beach, light breeze and wellness spaces.
To extend the relaxation
For a wellness afternoon, you can add a manicure, a massage or a private beach day. After the treatment, the Somone lagoon, the fishing port of Mbour and the Bandia reserve are easy outings.
