The Bandia, Pink Lake and Somone excursion brings together a safari, a lake of changing colours and a lagoon in a single day. Pick-up is from your hotel, in Dakar or on the Petite Côte, and the price is per person: ideal for seeing three sites without organising three outings.

Three sites, one day

The day begins with a safari in the Bandia Reserve: giraffes, rhinos, buffalo, antelope and a sacred baobab. It continues to the Pink Lake, Lake Retba, whose waters change in colour, pink, orange or violet, depending on the time of day and the season, and where the salt harvesters are part of the landscape. It ends on the Somone lagoon and its nature reserve, a more peaceful place, on the mangrove side.

Return transport and the organisation of the day are included. The price is the same whichever the departure point, Dakar or the Petite Côte.

What is paid on site

Here, everything that is regulated is paid on site, on top of the price: entry to the Bandia Reserve, the hire of the safari vehicle with the compulsory guide, the pirogue ride at the Pink Lake and the boat ride at the Somone. Lunch, drinks and personal spending are not included. A reduced resident rate exists.

Three stops, three landscapes

The Bandia Reserve is about fifteen kilometres from Saly, and the Bandia Park page describes the safari. The Pink Lake is about thirty kilometres north-east of Dakar, with its Pink Lake page for the site. The Somone, about ten kilometres south of Saly, has the Somone lagoon as its attraction. The Petite Côte links it all.
