Description of this activity

The beginner surf lesson at Pierre de Lisse takes place on a wild beach on the Petite Côte, away from development, near Toubab Dialaw. Equipment and instructor are provided, the waves are never too powerful, and the outing can be private or for a family.

An end-of-the-world spot for a first wave

Pierre de Lisse remains a rare place on the Petite Côte, appreciated for the simple beauty of its coastline, its gentle cliffs, its wooded areas and that end-of-the-world feeling. On this untouched beach, the ocean spreads out as far as the eye can see and the golden sand melts into the vegetation. The instructor puts you at ease at once: adapted teaching, equipment for every build, personal advice. The session starts with an approach to the spot and its waves, described as never too powerful, then the essential moves: balance, safety, position on the board, catching a wave, in small waves with a watch on the tide.

The equipment and the instructor are included. Come with sun protection, a UV-protective technical garment and shoes for walking to the cliffs, and book ahead for a private or family outing. During the breaks, you can chat with the villagers, stroll along the paths around the beach, taste seafood or visit a market garden.

If you live in Dakar, it is a half day very close to Toubab Dialaw to disconnect, with a first wave in peace. If you are visiting, it is an alternative to the busiest beaches.
