A personal trainer in Saly means an outdoor session, most often on the beach, facing the sea or in the shade of the coconut palms, to keep fit during a stay on the Petite Côte. Solo or in a group of 2 to 6 people, all levels, equipment provided.
A session on the beach, at sunrise or at the end of the day
The trainer alternates cardio, core work, joint mobility and stretching, with light equipment: resistance bands, dumbbells and mats. Each workout is adapted to your pace and level, with the goal of your choice: getting back in shape, strengthening or muscle relaxation. Sessions last about one to one and a half hours.
For the most motivated, dynamic sessions are offered at sunrise, while those who prefer something gentler choose the stretching sessions at the end of the day. Coaching can be one-to-one or in a group of two to six people; a private option is also available on request. Bring sportswear, a towel and a bottle of water.
If you live in Saly or are in Dakar for the weekend, it is a session that replaces the gym. If you are on holiday, it is the simplest way to stay fit without missing the beach.
Saly, the resort of the Petite Côte
Saly is the country’s main beach resort, about 80 km south of Dakar on the Petite Côte. It grew up in the 1980s around an old Serer fishing village and draws visitors looking for sun and sea: training on the beach comes naturally here, with the ocean as a backdrop.
After the session
After the effort, there is no shortage of ideas: a fresh juice on the beach, lunch in a seafront restaurant, or some downtime at the hotel. You can also extend with a beach day, a massage or yoga. In the area, the Bandia Reserve, the Somone lagoon and Joal-Fadiouth are classic outings from the Petite Côte.
